    BAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

Hopefully it won't be as hot next year as it was this year, cause just about everything out there was going down the track about a full second slower than usual during the daytime...

    And Norb:

I even had Cassandra make up one of those tombstone decals with the old Tickety Boo's name on it.....So you'll get your chance, don't worry.

It's on the back burner for a while...Work picked up again,so I'm busy as a long tailed cat in a room full of rockin chairs for a while!

I was hoping to pick up that package from you soon, but it may have to wait til the spring of it wont cause you too much inconvenience....I also need to get that hydro bellhousing and linkage down to you,and I have another shifter for you as well.:)

I noticed there were two Crosleys there this summer, a red one and a grey one. I thought I'd bring a yellow one to the party. Gonna run my 300-6 cylinder dragster (pictured too) too.

Jimbo we need to get you off the line.
I looked for black smoke on your launch but did not see any.
Went looking for you in the pits but couldn't find it was later in the day.
What are you running for a rear gear
If you wack the throttle open with no load does it still fall on its face

    James,
I think some of Big Jim's problems might have come from that new aluminum flywheel killing some inertia on the launch.

It's got stock rod bolts in it,so he doesn't put the Spurs to it relentlessly, cause he has to keep it alive, but I think if he gets a mean little 331 or 347 in there the light flywheel might help pull the engine down a bit on the launch to help get it outta the hole with less of a raging bonfire in the rear wheelwells.

It's kind of a catch 22 deal: The light flywheel wants a 6000rpm launch, but the stock Rod bolts need to be treated with a bit of respect to hold 'er together on a long term basis.

That car is on the brink of some very badass times.

I think a steel flywheel,or sky high rpm is what the small motor needs to get out of the hole.

If Jim puts a bigger motor in it,that aluminum flywheel might be just what he needs to keep the wheelspin of a bigger, torquier motor under control...(?)

Well if he is going to have any fun we need to find him a steel flywheel
But some sort of clutch tamer should help for now.
Wish I would have know what he had for a bottom end I could have waged this small block up to him that he could beat on tell it brakes and have a blast trying.
Its a roller cam block ARP rod bolts JE pistons been balanced I think gaskets, rings and bearing would put the short block together and have someone grinnin.

Scott, good to see car is mostly together...! Damn I bet at some point you were wondering if you'd get it back together again...!
Hope all Go's smooth with momma & baby too...!
I was thinking about 55', I was wondering if changing from T5 to TKO was dragging it down some? T5 first gear ratio is 3.35 & TKO first gear ratio is 2.87...? I've got roughly same motor & gear in my brother Scotts 89' Notch, with alum flywheel but T5 trans with gforce drag radials & I can spin the hell out of them tires...!
Also it has a lil hesitation when carbs are cracked, seemed to get better with 50cc pumps & bigger squirters... But at moment I'm going in different direction & should find out by end of week if it made a difference or not...!
James I had to take off, had a friend retire from Wilmot fire Dept & had to make an appearance at the retirement party! Believe me I wanted to stay! I was having a good time! Your car was getting it done 12.39-107 & looked good going down the track!
    Jimbo...

You nailed the problem with the aluminum flywheel.o_O

Jim is running 4.11 gears with 28" tall slicks.

Stock 55 ford is about 3500 lbs.

The tunnel ram is not happy when the rpms drop = the bog.

I thought Jim said it is a H.O. 302 with better heads. (I may be wrong)

Would his heads and speed parts bolt on a 351 block?

Hope every one is well and healthy. (Mom looks ready):)

Is your Dad going to bring the Big Block CHEVY race car/tow rig next year.
