Bender did you get a chance to run at MoKan last Friday or was it a rain out.
Is there race gas for sale at the track?
Yes there is.
Jeff posted on Saturday octane and price ranges (bottom of page 107 of this thread?). Methanol is available as well.
Beer, well you have to supply that, lol
Well the riff raff falcon ain't ready. Not enough hours in the day. However I will at least be attending this year. Actually my first time at the MD. Can't wait! I'm closing the shop early Friday n headin up. Look forward to meeting you guys!
If you want to go to a "Traditional" auto parts store, try Kunz Bros. in Freeport Ill. They still have parts books and figure up the sales tax with a tax table. The sales receipts are written up by hand, too.
They've been in business since about 1946 or so. Several years ago my older brother needed an oil filter for a 1944 Walters Snow Fighter. Yeah.....They had it in stock.
Just sent some messages and I will post it here also but just found out that our third driver will not be able to make it so the Charger will not be making the show. We just don't have enough drivers to get all my shit up there but I will be there with the Bel Air trying to get a handle on it.
Hope this lets someone else in if its not to late.
Any opinions on this Font for the hood scoop of 55'? Is it old school enough?
I like the white with the black border/shadowing.
Reminds me of some of the cars out of Ohio back in the 60's.
The eastern gas-class cars really had a style that was unique, even among Gassers
The guy who lettered my car said he doesn't use "fonts"
We made it to the Panhandle tonight....the old suburban is running warm, but humming right along.
Scott you got that shaker shakin yet?
Just stabbing my hands full of holes while I get these Spirolox in place.....lol
Well went to do a test run tonight and the Falcon acts like it was never tuned at all. Flooding, fire, and then running rough. Not sure what the hell is up. At this point not sure if it is going to make it or not. Still have the issue of side windows.
I'll bring some band aids for ya lol
Better bring a truckload
I had the same issue the other night with my Willys and I just knew the msd box had crapped out so I started to pull the dist and put the points ign back in and when I pulled the dist cap it looked like a tropical rain forest I guess the humidity had been so high down here it made a mess of it i swapped the cap and it ran like it always did not saying that's your issue but it's a stupid simple thing that when your thrashing you might overlook hope you get it sorted out i would like to see ya run it
Hey, thanks for the advise. Every little check helps!!!
I'd just like to be the first one today to say that Spirolox can go eat a dick.
That it all.
I'm loading the car, minibikes, and random stuff in the trailer and truck this afternoon. Thursday morning at 3:00 we're hitting the interstate and heading northeast. Should roll into Bryon Dragway by 2:00 or 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. See ya then!
...just a reminder for you guys arriving Thursday, there's a cruz nite at Sam's Drive-in rite on route 2 in Byron in the evening,5pm-on ...50's-60's style drive-in, great food.
Sam. Will not make that one. Popped middle rubber brake hose on 39 will be at DL Performance installing new line at 5.
This must uvbean 2 years ago? I see my Stude front in center....
Just picked up my heads,on the way to get fuel line and fittings, and pick up a summit order across the river in the US.
Should have it together by supper time
Wow, talk about cutting it close! I have to admire your tenacity. I hope that you are paid back by doing well. See you there.
Is there a cruise-in for The Meltdown? Didn't see one listed on the schedule.
Yes Friday and Saturday nights...Sams also has their own cruise on Thursday nights that you can attend.
That pic made my bottom lip start quivering and the cat ran for the door
Have a great time guys.
