If anybody is seeking Ethanol-Free gas, a Marathon station nine miles East of Byron on Route 72 carries it. It is 90 octane at $3.30/gallon when I last bought it several weeks back. The pump is unattended (accepts credit cards) on the South side of Route 72, just West of Davis Junction. I'm adding 110 race gas to come up with a 93 octane blend that is alcohol-free.

  5. Thank you for posting this Finn!!!

That E10E/E15 crap they consider to be pump gas is awful fuel for an older vehicle.

That's for sure! I've talked to a lot of guys doing the same thing. Meltdown gets people motivated! Best nostalgic drag show in the country!

Well the Falcon fires, and moves. It will not have color on it other than primer but time is running short. Need to do a little tuning and were good. Rusty 1 and his wife stopped in last night for the first firings. Good to see them again. Question, what is the rule on rear side glass? I see a couple of videos of the AWB Golddigger at Byron with no rear side glass in. Still in the process of making mine.

The weather forecast is in the mid 80's the whole weekend and they are only forecasting the "R word" for Sunday. We all know that this time of year they typically forecast a slight chance of R most days when you are looking 5 or more days out.

The humidity level looks to be in the 80's or 90's....bring some extra water to stay hydrated.

I know it,s getting down to the wire now.
Just a friendly reminder to be working safe you know the drill use jack stands, goggles, gloves and all the other stuff that you tend to forget when your in a hurry.
And don't forget to tighten those bolts when you put them in for the last time.

but if you build a shifter like this, you'd be proud to run a slushbox
