  3. Working on a sermon using hotrods as an illustration for Sunday night at church. Pastor has the flu so I'm filling in for him. Headed to a swap meet in a few minutes. Not sure what I am looking for but when I see it I'll know I need it.

Tomorrow I will replace the knackered original door locks with the locks from a post 1972 2CV... this will give me anti-burst locks with a lockable external teardrop-shaped external door handle.

Things went well, boxed some stuff for shipping shuffled stuff around and got the frame for the '39 Pickup inside. I can scrape the grease and dirt off it inside were it is nice and warm.

Got most of the body work done in preparation of paint. Gotta finish up the doors and dash and then pull the body from the frame to paint.

Went back to running the stock model A tank and have been perplexed with what to do about my gauge panel.

Not a lot of choices with the stock tanks so I’m gonna try this.

Made my own ‘32 style dash with some 18 gauge sheet metal. Used the bead roller to stiffen up the bottom. I put a hole in it so I can view the stock model A fuel gauge and I’ll place the other gauges in the panel but there is nowhere enough depth for a speedometer.

So, I’m going to use a tach cup and mount it on the column.

Chassis Skateboard, somebody will tell me what a 35-40 Ford frame weighs, just awkward enough to need rollers. Less than a buck for the hardware and I'm rolling. Bob DSCF7582.JPG DSCF7583.JPG DSCF7584.JPG
