Got a chance to buy a couple of trucks to get some other parts I need . I would need to sell the trucks to recoup the cash though. One is a 50 the other a 49 and a parts truck to boot. They have flattys in them and did run way back when, have complete drive trains, some new trim. A little rusty but not bad, plenty of dents, both very restoreable. What are they worth?? there's an extra chassis and cab thats pretty nice and a F-250 trans and rear end too.

My son bought a 52 Calif F1 last fall for $2000. so far we put about 1000 in it ,mostly tires, new wheel cylinders recored rad and new water pumps and converting to 12 volts inc. rewound starter and alt, its a 239 .020 over and runs real good... though forget about anything over 60 mph. He's been offered $4500 so far.... its really a neat truck and the idea is what its worth is someone want's to pay because... they or their father or uncle had one just like it..parts wise the cab and frame is wotrh a 1000 imo and the more parts you have the more you can get for it stripped trucks don't pull too much $$ here in AZ

I've seen the add that you are looking at, belive me they are worth it I have seen similar trucks selling for 1500 or more on ebay and if I had the space I would already own them. So buy them up and sell them and you will probably make money on them while getting the parts you need at the same time.

Yeah think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one, hope I don't regret it, man my back yard is starting to look like a vintage junkyard.

  6. whats wrong with that?:D:D pm me when you get them as i'm getting a 48' F-2 and could use some parts.

  7. I need parts too, man.

And they value of something depends on what part of the country you're standing in. I paid $2500 for mine here in CT and it was pretty rough, but runs.

I'm looking for a heavy duty three speed, and driveshaft if you have one.

I just bought a complete '51 F2 w/a Flathead V8 and title not running for $500 in western NJ last weekend and I'm thinking I could have gotten it for less but the excitement of the find got to me.

My 49 was sitting in a field 8 yrs rotting away I paid $300 for it and the carcass of a 70 Mustang that his kid took motor n trans out of n started putting in truck. If you have extra door latch mechanisms I'd be interested.

  11. 51 and 52 cabs have a bigger back window.
but yeah the F-1 thru F6 cabs are the same...so are the hoods.
