I picked these wheels up today. There are two different types. Both are steel rims with aluminum centers. Two have the centers inside the lip of the rim and 2 have the aluminum centers that wrap over the lip of the rims.

You got me, I don't know what they are. I've never seen any like them before. I'm not saying that they are not the Cragar copies but does anybody else have any ideas? Thanks for the reply Jim.

They are a torq thrust looking wheel and I also have one out in the garage.
I was thinking maybe they are a factory late 60s GM (camaro)wheel???
Are the ones with the center insde the lip 15s ?

These were pretty common cheapo Torq Thrust-alike copies in the 1960s. Even E-T had some and that may be what these are....

Usually the name brand wheels had their brand name cast into the backside. The cheap copies did not.

Yep, torq thrust copy, they were made by several manufacturers, including M/T, Keystone, E-T (although it is probably not ET as they went to unilug in the mid sixties). They were even available from JC Whitney, but of course they didn't name the manufacturer in their catalog. I can scan a few catalog and magazine ads in a couple days if you want to see more.

Thanks for the thread. I think they've pretty much nailed them for me. Now I know kind of what to search for.

I don't know the brand name. It's hard to find 15X6 look-a-likes that fit my 56. I don't believe that they are really that desirable but they clean up pretty nice. They work with my low buck 60s style driver. Any of the steel/aluminum faced wheels were cheap copies of the real Torque thrusts. The repro aluminum 15X6 wheels have the ugly spokes with the humps in them.

    Like stated
That style (steel w alum face) was made by a few different company’s w slight variations. Some have peaked spokes and some are rounded.

E-T’s are the only ones iv seen that are marked ….. They have there logo near one of the lugs and also are unalug.

Going to clean them up some tomorrow and see it there is any info on the backside. I picked them up cheap with some other stuff, nothing lost. May be shop decorations or something to create conversation over some cold shop beers. But, if anyone could use them or need them for any reason let me know and I'd be happy to work something out. Thanks again gentlemen.

Kinda look like old Fenton wheels from the 60s early 70s. Here's one of the two I have on a old teardrop trailer of mine. They are 14 X 6 also.

I'm thinking Fenton, it seems like they didn't cast any ID in the TT style wheels.

MT made them too, but they'll have "MT" cast in the back of one of the spokes. For what it's worth, they look like the center hole is unmachined, so you'll have to have them "lug centric" balanced, meaning by the lug holes.

Hmm, I was thinking maybe they were from the same maker with the same center cast but just had the diffrent size hoop around it hence the lip overhang on the 15s

The guy that I got them from mentioned Fenton about 2 of them but he wasn't sure anymore since he had them around for so long that he didn't even remember when or where he got them.
