These were on a Chevy truck I picked up, not going to run them, any ideas what they're off of? The double bar is 60" wide the other is 59and 3/8 wide

    Cool bumpers.

  5. They're probably aftermarket. They look like spring steel so they can bump, flex, and then bounce back.
They have a trim look, not massive. They should be right at home on the right rod.

The double bar looks mostly like '28-30 Chev front.

  7. Check this link below. These old car guys say these are "Biflex" bumpers that were installed on a variety of different brands of cars. There is also a mention of cars built without bumpers. I guess that's one way to keep the advertised price low.

  8. Bumpers were often an aftermarket accessory on cars of the teens and '20s, especially cars in the lower price range. One good thing about building traditional hot rods is that you can go ahead and use a cool part without being absolutely certain of its origin.

The double straight bar looks and mounts like 29/early 30's Chevy.

I'd say you won't be wrong with saying that the one with the opening in the middle is 24 Studebaker big six 24 Studebaker big six.jpg
