OK this is interesting. The Chrisman-Barris-Dobie Gillis '31 posted by @patmanta and @AndersF is hiding behind this A posted by @48stude (below). I knew more about Art Chrisman's drag cars than either one of these . . . so, I assume @48stude is admiring the A.
Anyway, the '31 is definitely an all-time best hotrod.

You know, I am hoping that these pics will still be visible in this thread for many years. It is frustrating to see so many pics gone from great old threads. I am not posting pics through a 3rd party hosting site, rather I am uploading them straight from my computer . . . one of the upgrades that Ryan initiated when he did the big HAMB makeover several years ago. So, it is my hope that this can remain something of a reference thread for future HAMBers.

Tom Branch roadster. You know, I know nothing about this beautiful car but have this same pic in my files.

  20. Love it! A local car friend got to go for a ride in it when he flew out to the LA roadsters show.

any more photos or info on this car?

  23. I have to pick this T since I could not wait to see it each week on TV! Cool car even without Norm. [IMG]

  24. Number three has to be my cousins 49 Chevy. that some would classify as a custom but for me it was a screaming Hot Rod that I would watch fly by from my parents front porch on Seaside Avenue in the Cove back in the early 60's. 348 powered and Midnight Joe's magic made this one fast ragtop! RIP Joe.
    Joe Boccuzzi.jpg

  25. Number four (this in not in any order) is Joe's brother Ted senior's 33 Chevy . The ride he gave me when I was fourteen was a bigger thrill than seeing Marge Markie with no bra. Ted's Coupe_0006.jpg
You guys may know this one from the HAMB owned by tb33anda3rd. As nice as it is now I will always remember it the way it was in 61. Red & White interior and Red Rims! And that solid lifter Corvette motor sound kept me awake at night.

  26. My last pick will need to be a 32 five window! I have given it lots of thought not wanting to pick one of the cars I have built. So this one is owned by me but was originally built by Don Coleman. It was owned by Neal East for some time then Richard Munz. After that it had several owners I guess until I bought it from a fellow HAMBer. I did not build it but I have had this hot rod apart more times than any other rod I have built. Mostly rebuilding just about every mechanical part of this 32 and making improvements along the way. I have been careful to not change the overall look that Coleman achieved. Over the years lots of different hot rodders have had their hands on this timeless looking Deuce. Most recently Ronnie Roadster doing the motor rebuild for me. So for that reason and history sake here is number five "THE COLEMAN COUPE".

Now owned by Mark Bailey and a mate in Melbourne , Australia. You can find a few pics of it in this link. Mark is one of the River City Coupe & Roadsters Club who put on a reliability run the last weekend in Jan every year. I don't think the car has changed since he got it apart from the striping on the trunk lid (Mark is a signwriter)

First pic is in post #15
