Technical What’s this tail light lens off of

I’m using the bullet style guide lights off a ‘56 Dodge power wagon for brake lights on the ‘29. The lenses are clear n I found this one at Turlock that fits perfectly, but only one. Asking around I was told possibly off a Pontiac. Any ideas? Or I could just stop lookin n color the clear ones red

I haven't got one to measure, but looks very much like the lense of a 39 Chev coupe (maybe not as much dome tho) that I owned a few years ago, ..

 

It looks to me like the center brake light lense from a 1941 Plymouth

I think your right. Did some checking n they sure look like it, just need to confirm the measurements are right. That also may explain why there was only one on the table.

I just measured the 41 Plymouth taillight asembly I have, I removed the sheetmetal cover exposing the lens but it was held fast to the rubber gasket so I couldn't remove it but the glass was 2&1/2 across by 1&1/8th in height.......dunno if this helps......the glass also has "AZ" cast into the outside of the lens........I had a 41 Coupe but sold it tho' I had a spare taillight .........andyd.

 

That is one way to get into the flea market business. Just keep on buying those single lenses hoping to find a pair!

 

what size lens fit the bezel you are looking for? what are the dimensions on the clear lens?

 

no kidding....got ‘bout 6 pairs that didn’t fit
