yes cant wait
Does anybody know how far this is from the train station? I was thinking of taking the train there, and back to LA..
I cant believe i am gonna miss this show by 2 days. I am sitting here in afghanistan in the middle of a fuckin sand storm and now i find out i am gonna be home 2 days AFTER West coast cruise.
Tony there is no train station in Santa Maria, however there is one in Guadalupe, about 9 miles west of Santa Maria. Only drawback , Guadalupe very small town, no hotels or cabs.Try Lompoc, about 30 mins. from show, or San Luis Obispo about 45 mins from show. Both bigger citys with hotels
Well I just scored one of the last remaining rooms at the Town & Country Motel. Now I gotta get van registered for the cruise. Viva
The wife & I will be driving down in the '38 Chrysler. I was alone and stayed at the Motel 6 last year. Since wifey is coming this year I'd like to upgrade.
Does anyone have a room at the S.M. Inn they aren't going to use?? PM me please!
Or you can take the train to Santa Barbara and then they will put you on a bus to Santa Maria and it will drop you only a few blocks from the Fairpark where the show is. I have done this a ton of times when i lived in Santa Maria to go see shows in L.A.. IT IS SUPER EASY
man it aint comin fast enuff
ill be the first one in my car and ready to ride
Thats the truth Alex....I can't wait...
Alex - what are you driving to the show?
Looking forward to meeting you at the event
That Thursday night before the event Megan and I are going to stay in Sana Barbara.
Are there any HAMB folks in that area?
Cool hot rod or custom shops to visit?
What about any car collections??
Good seafood or BBQ resturants??
What about an inexpensive mid-century modern type motel?
When are you hitting the road for out here?
Hit up Ricky Rojas, he has a shop in Santa Barbara. In Ventura (1/2 hr, give or take) theres Kiwi Kev's, Matt Noble, and Dan Collin's Old Gold Garage. Oh! state st. is a nice walking strip in Santa Barbara. And breakfast houses are a big thing, maybe try a bed and breakfast, theres plenty too. Have fun!!!
MAn I wanted to register my Van for the cruise but after reading the rules I missed the cut off by 3 years. Oh Wel, I'm still show'n up and having a good time no matter what.
Is there gonna be a HAMB meet and greet?
the fuck you 54
Kick ass! See you there.
Make sure to stop by the WCK model car show in the lobby of the convention center in the fairgrounds and say hi to me. Bring models if ya got 'em. Don't forget to have your kids bring a couple too! We're hoping for a record turnout of models this year.

Looking forward to spending Memorial Day wknd with my California friends! I'm excited to check out to the WCK nats at Santa Maria, I haven't been out since they were in Paso.
Things have changed alittle since the last time we chatted in Texas. I'm not driving Big Olds out next week like planned. Megan and I are flying out on Wed the 26th and will slowly drive up the Pacific Coast Highway on that Thursday.
Thanks for all the info....see ya in Santa Maria
sure hope i can get mine ready in time!!! Alex i may be calling you!
I was there last year and had a ball. Stay away from the "Holiday Hotel" on Braodway. It's a bug invested dive. I'm at the Ramada this year. I'm #140.
There is always next year. We are just want you to make it back.
Thank you for what your doing.
