Projects Well, this is the coolest thing I've ever seen...if I do say so myself...

I stated putting the '36 "Fordillac" together today. I had a ball, and made good progress. Didn't scratch, dent, gouge, break or drop anything, a first for me putting a car together. Only problem I ran into was that one of the headlight rings is sprung a little and won't seat properly onto the bucket with the lens in, and the spring clamp retainers were wasted. I made stainless tabs, riveted one to the ring, and one to bucket drilled and tapped for an 8-24 machine screw instead. Works.

I guess that 300 dollar body was worth it after all.

  2. Awesome man...congratulations!

You do realize that you're going to have to assemble all your pictures into a build thread now, right?

LOL, that'll take almost as long as building the car did!

    Really nice. Keep us updated.

  13. Yeah, but you can edit out things that happened like turning the primer to jelly...actually handy to post a build thread after the car is nearly done...then everyone thinks your a rockstar, and a crazy-quick fabricator!:D

All kidding aside...really coming together into something cool and different, which is getting harder to accomplish as time goes by...

I like it. I didn't really understand what it was supposed to look like with the roofless sedan body but now that I see it in paint and assembled I like it a lot.

I just came in from about a half hour of setting in a lawn chair in the shop, drinking a glass of wine and admiring my work. Thanks guys, I appreciated the compliments! (It's not really a custom tho!) I can hardly wait to see it outside, with the aluminum interior in and top on!

Wow...Very nice. I've been watching the progress for awhile and I really like it.

On another note, I was searching through my stack of R&C mags looking for something, and saw a car in the letters section very similar to yours, it was being built by some desparado named Brian...Which I know wasn't you because your name is Flynbrian48... Anyways you should send them a letter with your car all prettied up.

Very nice, great job and it's really different, just like BIGREDTODD said, that's getting harder to do everyday. Congratulations.

To say it's the coolest thing i've ever seen ... a bit of a stretch... however; nice concept and execution of vision though.
