I know this is an older thread, but was the roof lengthened during the chop? Seems like the rear side windows did not get shortened like a lot of these cars do in the process of chopping. I love the roof profile.

Yup, the rear quarter windows are stock width......... Sean had to add to the roof in order to accomplish this. Thanks for the compliment.

I was finally able to get the new 53 Caddy caps welded to the beauty rings & mounted on my Chevy. I truely feel that these caps were the right way to go.

    What do you guys think?

You nailed it, chop, stance, color, trim, everything looks right, nice job!
    PS
Everybody please take notice, this is how you show off your chop, if it doesn't hold up to a straight on side view, don't get all artsy fartsy with camera angles, this is the money shot.

Thanks for the compliments, I do plan on painting the body with gloss clear in the near future...... The top is the only thing finished with paint. I am currently working on interior right now, painting the dash, seats & door panels. I'm looking for a headliner guy that has done several chopped cars headliners.

Awesome. The 53 Caps really make the car. Now all I'd do is paint the wheels black and drive the crap out of it, but thats just me.

    Great custom!!!

  10. I think you should trade for a Prius, they get better gas milage...

P.S. I like the caps as well, big improvement.

Sam, not sure how i missed this the first time around your chevy looks really nice, love the color combo.

the hubcaps were the right choice. can you highlight how you attached them (I think you said you welded them to rings?)

  12. I think it looks perfect in satin in that colour, just the way it is :)

Gloss over the top would ruin it in my opinion

The top is currently the only part that is in gloss right now, the body is in tinted primer. I have always wanted gloss paint on it so despite the reviews I am probably gonna go with gloss.

Hey, Sam! Any chance of getting some updated pics on the work that you've done since December '12? As I recall, we weer waiting on interior and dash pics.

Thanks for sharing your killer ride with us.
