    Hi Gang,

I have an original model a roadster tank and would like to cut a part off of the original column drop and weld a piece of flat steel to it to make a lower mount for a 1935..40 column drop.
what kind of material is it and is it weldable?
    thanks

I used the column drop from a 30 Model A and welded it to a steel strap to mount on a 32 style dash. The drop is steel on the 30, my 28 avatar was also steel. Check it with a magnet or Hit it with a grinder, think steel will throw orange sparks
