Yea that's what I was thinking around 2G. I'll call them tomorrow.
I paid $65 for a 60 cubic foot bottle of CO2/Argon mix yesterday in Fairfax, VA (metro Washington DC).
The regulator indicates a hair over 1000 psi when the bottle is first opened.
Yea, Thats what I got.
Hi Mr. Deuce Lower
I guess the further away from "civilization" you get the higher the price...
Is that GasPro / Airgas...?
Have A Good One!
300cf "T" tank filled with mixed gas here in Houston is $27. plus tax
Just filled a 386cf Argon mix and paid $67.00 here.
OK, got both bottles exchanged OTC at Fresno Oxy/Barnes.
95 cuft oxy =$19.12
60 cuft acetylene = $38.31
+ $3.95 hazmat fee & $5.05 tax
For my tiging.."T" tank..Can't decifer the bill except weights 165 lbs...Aigas, Alumagold, argon/helium mix..In 2006 it was $148 w/tax and in 2010 it was $142 w/tax....Center of CT..Didn't check the pressure now [afraid I will need refill soon] but in past full tank pressure around 2k...
60cfm tank argon/co2 air liquid =$193.76 Gaspro/air gas =163.56 tank pressure 2k . I have been buying machines and supply from air liquid for about 15 years now . When I told them about the price dif. they did not seem to care. Had to fill both tanks last month boy did that hurt.
You Big Island Guys Win..............Or Loose.............Whateva?
I just paid $50.86 out the door for 75/25 AR-CO2 mix, receipt says 87 cf, here in washington
I exchanged a pair of "T" cylinders (straight argon) yesterday at Praxair in Speedway, IN. $49.93 each plus $4.95 hazardous material charge and $7.34 tax for a total of $112.15 (about $13 higher than the last time). Just over 16K on the gauge when I cracked it for the first time and total volume for the two bottles was 672 cu, ft.
Went to Airgas last week in central Jersey. $70 for a 80cf C25 and $47 for a Class B Acetlylene bottle. Not fantastic prices, but exactly what I expected to pay.
here it is $31 at westco and $59 at air gas for a 150 cf bottle of 75/25
My oxy/acet torch was stolen, (nice Victor aircraft set) they left all the tips and cutting head, but took the mixer! (obsolete, a N.O.S. costs $225)
I went to a Praxair dealer, the manager sold me owner tanks (101 cu.ft. acet, 121 cu. ft. oxy) $149 filled, plus tax. Nice cart in the box, $49. (modified it slightly, but good tubing, wheels.)
Great service, then he retired. New mgr. says one thing on the phone, then another (higher) when I get there.
I get real quiet, and give him the Clint Eastwood whisper thru gritted teeth what he quoted over the phone...he's back in the book and "Oh, I see now...but I'll have to call..." There are two other dealers in 4 blocks, a short ride.
'M' bottle of 75-25 was $43 out the door from Howard (retired mgr) but I'm in no hurry to find out how high it's gone up since.
