  1. Yea that's what I was thinking around 2G. I'll call them tomorrow.

  2. I paid $65 for a 60 cubic foot bottle of CO2/Argon mix yesterday in Fairfax, VA (metro Washington DC).
The regulator indicates a hair over 1000 psi when the bottle is first opened.

  3. Yea, Thats what I got.

    Hi Mr. Deuce Lower

I guess the further away from "civilization" you get the higher the price...
    Is that GasPro / Airgas...?

I exchanged a pair of "T" cylinders (straight argon) yesterday at Praxair in Speedway, IN. $49.93 each plus $4.95 hazardous material charge and $7.34 tax for a total of $112.15 (about $13 higher than the last time). Just over 16K on the gauge when I cracked it for the first time and total volume for the two bottles was 672 cu, ft.

Went to Airgas last week in central Jersey. $70 for a 80cf C25 and $47 for a Class B Acetlylene bottle. Not fantastic prices, but exactly what I expected to pay.

My oxy/acet torch was stolen, (nice Victor aircraft set) they left all the tips and cutting head, but took the mixer! (obsolete, a N.O.S. costs $225)
I went to a Praxair dealer, the manager sold me owner tanks (101 cu.ft. acet, 121 cu. ft. oxy) $149 filled, plus tax. Nice cart in the box, $49. (modified it slightly, but good tubing, wheels.)
Great service, then he retired. New mgr. says one thing on the phone, then another (higher) when I get there.
I get real quiet, and give him the Clint Eastwood whisper thru gritted teeth what he quoted over the phone...he's back in the book and "Oh, I see now...but I'll have to call..." There are two other dealers in 4 blocks, a short ride.
'M' bottle of 75-25 was $43 out the door from Howard (retired mgr) but I'm in no hurry to find out how high it's gone up since.
