The boy has had a good day today! So I worked on my junk tonite. Leaking axle seal replaced. Evac kit done , hopefully reduce some seep causing pressure. Trailer light drama. The more I complete on the list the more I keep adding. We'll be rolling in lookin like a joint effort between the Clampetts and Fred and Lamont Sanford.

We are loaded and ready to go. Won't race but will display car since it is in original 1972 race condition down to seat belts and tires. [IMG]

Ive attended the past 2 years but this is my first time bringing my heap. May be a stupid question but can I drop my enclosed trailer in the pit for the wknd cause I'll need the truck for transportation to hotel. But trailer is home base and garage. I'm just confused because I've seen stuff parked across the road

we left our trailer in the separate area last year but since we made our hillbilly shower we're going to keep it in the pits. What do you plan on running? thought we could maybe set up a match race....?

It looks like I will be spending time in my garage this weekend. I am working on my project to get ready for the Fallout. I need all the time I can get. Will a live feed be broadcast of the Meltdown this year? Nothing like a little motivation to keep the wrenches turning. Thanks

Not sure how they are classing things. This car has never made a pass. Gonna be some baby steps. Probably never get out of 14's. plus old Lakewood style bar won't tech for anything too fast. I think a match race would be bitchin. If I can make an eighth mi pass or two I will be stoked.

  17. I just ordered a new Simpson's chute from Jeg's - they are delivering it to our hotel. Wish I had known earlier - but thanks

I hope that someday I need a chute and not because I jumped out of an airplane.

  19. Don't stress out over this... The classifications are generally based on what the car looks like. Gasser, A/FX, AWB, Stock, Super Stock,.... that kind of thing. The MDA will take into consideration where you feel you should be but they don't want door cars matched with dragsters, altereds etc. They ask you to find other cars in your class that have similar times and try and line up together.... but these days with 500+ cars in attendance they are pretty happy you are there and running the car.

  20. No pronlem..it might end up on mine some day.

When you pull in they will park you in the lot to the left. That's what they did last year anyway. So you can drop and go to the hotel, that's what we did last year worked great.

The dates should be edited into the title for potential spectators that don't realize it's this weekend.

Check out your local motorcycle/ATV dealer for helmets. That is where we got ours last year!
