Slow (ish) cars having fun...
2 years back Joe Hickenbottom brought his totally awesome Cuda gasser and made about 20 passes. I'm pretty sure they were all in the 13 second range... but who cares... it was fun, he had fun, he was safe and didn't whine.

Do we even mention the 51 Chevy that made like 40 passes at Meltdown 3 ?? Complete with burnouts that incinerated his left rear tire, occupants banging the doors in the smoke and then ripping off low 21 second passes...

 

Dumb question but what is rod light wheels? Probably the fake spoke looking one's I have on the front of mine?

 

Glad I got all the vintage mag wheels I need for my projects , because I think the price of aluminum slots at the spring Jefferson Swap meet just went up again! lol Larry

Last fall scored a pair of 14 x 7 Ansen Sprint slots for $20.00 at Mikes swap meet in Oshkosh.

Got to dispose of the dry rot tires but looks like it was a good investment.

There are some cheap aluminum slots available from us wheels as narrow as 15x5 , the skinny Ansen slots are pretty pricey but just look right. American Rebel makes some nice ones too.

 

Not only does American Rebel make some amazing looking wheels that are MADE IN THE USA, they are awesome to deal with. They were super helpful with all of my Chrysler 8-3/4 rear disk caliper clearance questions. I'd buy wheels from them again no doubt.

 

Anybody having problems with the Meltdown site? I was trying to pull it up but only about half the pages load. Looking to preregister an FED.
