weird stuff you started with?

im not just talking about weird style bodies, or off the wall brands, but stuff that wasnt a car. ive been reading around here about a guy who built a coupe out of a truck cab, and R&C had an article afew years back where they showed how to chop up a truck cab into a roadster. these are all the kinds of things i love to see and hear about because then they give me ideas, and usually i can afford them. today my neightbor scrapped out the camper back off of a peterbuilt truck (square kind with one door) and as he drove away i thought to myself "hmm, cut the top off, and fill the big ass hole in the front with some sort of cowl, and your on your way to a roadster". so what have you all started with that ended in a car?

 

My truck started off as a car....more correctly, it started off as a pile of scrap metal.

 

54 Cadillac roof and old porch posts.... and cop car roll bars.....
