I'm thinking of buying a Corvair from my grandpa, seeing as how it's not a terribly confusing car, they're cheap, and I can pick a complete one up for 500 bucks. Can someone, as stupid this will sound, tell me how they think a blue monza with maybe a slight chop, no handles, a white top, and maybe even a set of WWW's would look? Even better, a photochop.. Peace love and rockabilly elvis
Look up the one at Watson's shop I think, there was a pic of a yellow one here on the hamb that was a full custom that looked killer!!!
here its chopped,WWW, and lowered a little.... Dont know if this is okay, what do otheres mean! its a 60s car, and i mean this dont suit so good the 50s style.....
I always thought the Corvair coupes were good looking cars. Don't go 50's on a 60's car though. Torque Thrust wheels with the gray centers and brushed rim would look great. Maybe some redline tires too.
Looks much better with the Astro and skinny whites. Still a little to muscle car though IMHO. Maybe a cool scallop or subtle panel job would help, but I'm at work so maybe someone else can do that
Go with slotted Astros...if ya' can find em. And very true what most others are saying....don't go with wide whites
The first question I have is what year and model? As in, is it the same (or very similar) to the picture you posted? The rear of the rear fender calls out for Bellflower pipes or something similar, especially if routing them would work with the rear engine 'naturally'. Thanks, Kurt
Here's nice one, but pretty modern... http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2248785320057022875AuZUpm?vhost=rides And here's a cool first gen...
Personally I'd go with a "road race" look. Steelies and racing stripes. How about a Salt Flat look? Dumped with Moon discs would look pretty killer.
The irony of this project is, I always leaned ford.. Chevy cars are better looking though. I'm thinking of doing that metal flake green, that was sick 1-shot! I don't think I'll go for steelies or astros, but I might consider something with less gaps, or even wires. Also, one last question, how would you guys lower a unibody car like a 'vair? and thanks for all the answers, by the way.
