If a heli coil is the only thing you're worried about, then $400 is a fair price for them. I paid about the same for mine plus shipping. IMO the WC4D is the coolest intake for the early Chevy engines aside from the Nicson 2x2..

Edit: what I mean by "the only thing you're worried about" is if there's no other stripped holes, no broken mounting tabs, no cracks anywhere that need to be welded up, or anything like that.. You're golden.

Thanks Texas speed. Heli coil didn't really worry me it was over all price. I wish it had carbs so I didn't have to hunt them down next but o well.

  4. I would definitely jump on it, I've been looking for one for years and they are all getting snatched up or go for crazy money. I agree with @TexasSpeed they are the coolest sbc intake around in my eyes

How much corrosion in the thermostat area ? As long as it'll seal properly..

Good to see you snatched it up! Carbs are still easy to come by.. I've scored Holley 94s at swap meets for dirt cheap. They're just serving duty as eye-candy on my engine while I hem and haw over rebuilding them or saving up for new Stromberg 97s.
