Can't really be overstated how cool this build is, inspirational work, that's a hell of alot of talent you got Jimmy.

Emerald Tide, I have that print up in my office, I look it everyday. How bitchin' it is to see that little hot rod pick-up come to life.

Weesner's artwork has inspired many a hot rod and bike to be built, his talent and style stand alone.

This is one thread that will be worth following, thanks 193257.

Not meaning to start drama on this thread and no need for any comments except by Pat Pryor but I'm curious to know exactly what was meant by this post?

I'm not going to add much but, this is truly unreal.

Anyone have suggestions to help me not feel like such a f-ing failure with my build after seeing this thing? God damn that this going to be awesome.

The dude built his own yoder......seriously guys I think very few of us can match that level of freakin awesome. Cant find the exact model vehicle you want to build well just buy sheet stock and pound it till it looks like the one you want only its the one some other guy drew so you cant really use all the dimensions of the original.... seriously!? This guy is for sure a ruler!

    Beautiful....but I have a question...

Who makes the wire wheels in the background? they would look awesome on my '51 Cadillac Convertible ;)

Sorry dont have any of the inside of the bed or rear chassis right now but I will get some

Sorry Denise Yes he's married and has one son.

Keith I don't know who's honored more! you or him. Talked to Jimmy last night and he was very happy with the response about this thread

OK That wire wheel is made by wheel vintique I believe. That wheel is actually on the chassis of his other hand built project. You ought to see that chassis. You talk about impressive..That chassis belongs to the project that he stopped on because he thought it was taking to long so he started on this truck. There is a full scale drawing on the wall I will get a pic of for the chassis and body for the first project.

I talked to Jimmy last night and he was overwhellmed by the responses about his project. He said he's going full bore and try to get it done for the Street Rod Nationals. I'll deep everyone updated..... Rick

DOH! I was going to go to the Nats, but decided to work instead. If I didn't need the money I'd really be kicking myself for not going now.

That's gotta be Jimmy Hervatin -- I met him when I lived in St. Louis and he was working out of his parent's garage. It was a 3 car deal, he'd made one bay into a paint booth and the other two were set up with sheetmetal equipment. He'd just hooked up a 3/8" pneumatic wrench too drive his bead roller, I had him roll some beads in a set of floors I was making for my '49 chevy.

He was totally laid back, no giant ego or anything.

Cool to see what he's up to these days!

  25. This thread is a perfect example of : Those that don't know have to let everyone know how good they are............ And yet those that truly know sit back, shut up and let everyone admire. My hats off to Jimmy in more ways than one.

Thanks for the reminder of how bad I really suck.

Amazing stuff- from the classic Weez art to the impeccable craftsmanship. This right here is what it's all about.

Hey Rick ,"Vents" Baker here Lou Noble and i were at Jimmies today to check out his progress on the truck. Louie was blown away and left shaking his head and babbling incoherently, I've decided to sell all my stuff and take a job as a mop boy in a porno theatre because i don't think i have enough years left to get to jimmys skill level. When he gets to the nationals he's gonna be busy!
