Ive seen one survive 250 mph behind a 1300 hp BBC on the salt
Way easier on a trans than half a dozen passes with slicks behind a 400hp small-block.
True story, traction is difficult out there.
Yea, its the shock loadings that make 'em spew. No hook, no BANG!
I've got the 2.88 first gear variety. It's in a heavy car with about 360hp. I have a Hurst Super Shifter that has been modified to work with the saginaw. Works great, I hear that they hold up better with synthetic fluid, and that's what I run. I beat the hell out of it and it works fine, I even blew out a clutch, still going strong.
