  13. Wow, this thread is falling off the tracks. Keep it to HAMB-friendly (nothing past '65 in style) sedan (not panel) deliveries, please.

  17. Here's Dog_Patch's '48. I think a sedan delivery looks particularly good pushing a FED...

We had a '59 Chev sedan delivery back in the 80s. Used it as tow vehicle for our flathead FED. Bought it from a guy in CT who got it from LA. He had painted "Mail Order Delivery" on the panels as he bought it long distance. If I remember right he was the KKOA colonel for CT. It had been an inner city hearse conversion, still had the coffin rollers in the rear floor and a jump seat for the undertaker. We put the business name on it "DJ's Louver Service" and when we sold the rail early 90s we sold the sedan delivery to a young guy from Vermont. Never have seen it again, was metallic maroon. Great car, little kids thought it was the batmobile with the fins. We got best appearing car and crew one year at NED with it, pushing our 130" FED with it. Was great towing back from a run, that door open at rear made it real easy to watch the guy in the race car if something happened (like my partner Dick trying to tow me at 40mph through the pits!).
