We obviously like Ford sedan deliveries, but somewhere, we just like the smooth sides of a sedan deliveries or panel trucks. Many times it has been mentioned that is why we have owned two different, but similar on the outside looks for our sedan delivery. The cool smooth side panels, the privacy, and utility all played a big part of our liking the sedan deliveries.
What we liked as the smooth rear side panel and door, instead of windows for privacy/sound was the downfall of the sedan delivery for us. What looked better in one instance was what made us not like the panels for overall viewing. Later on, we just could not see in the blind spot in the passenger side right rear area.
So, once that decision was made, we continue to look at all choices for another hot rod. Convertibles are almost as bad, but with the top down it is a wide open space. Back to the sedan deliveries: Our liking the sedan deliveries comes from those smooth side panels, not the versions that have a steel metal plate in the place of a rear side window. It was always the rear door that made the difference between a sedan and sedan delivery. What you could not get inside of a sedan, was put in the small trunk or on top. The sedan delivery was made for deliveries and therefore had that cool opening rear door that made the hot rod functional.
But the sedan delivery has always been a big part of our growing up years and explorations. So, when we see any sedan delivery rolling down the street or on a trailer, it takes us back to those early 1940 Ford sedan delivery days.
This Chevy sedan delivery looked like it had just gotten a new paint job as there are several paint places in the industrial section of the city. Since we have seen this Chevy sedan delivery, it had not popped up at the local Cars and Coffee or the distant Donut Derelicts “used to be” weekly shows.
Does anyone know more about this cool looking Chevy sedan delivery?
