    Okay I'm stumped.
I saw and bought a Ford I beam today . Whats it off.
It is an I beam, wishbone, spring in front, juice brakes, square spindle backing plate mount , 5 on 5.5 ford but the axle itself dips, kind of wavey bewteen the bones. What year Ford ? Never have seen one like this.

    Thanks
Its a 42-48 Lincoln. Any pros or cons on the lincoln i beam vs the ford i beam

  6. Too wide
    Price of new kingpins
While the unusual shape may initially appear "neat"; to me Lincoln axles give off more of a
'50s truck axle vibe, than a hot rod part.

The juice brakes can be adapted to Ford spindles.

  9. I think the other guy narrowed & drilled the axle; while Bib did the sanding and polish.

That's all Bibs work...outstanding. Also the king pin inclination is different than Ford axles.
