... it is the episode were Lily has the Coach built for Herman's birthday
And ? Charly Brown, he's a clown
Oh yeah ,im watching "Teen Moms " .Well my wife is and im glancing over my shoulder at it from time to time ...
One of the things I noticed even as a 9-year-old boy was that Morticia Addams, played by Carolyn Jones, was somehow vastly hotter than Lily Munster, played by Yvonne DeCarlo. From my perspective Morticia just oozed sex all over the screen, while Lily was ... well ... Lily was just a housewife in ridiculous makeup.
On the other hand the Munsters did have some really cool hot rods. (Well, they seemed cool to me at the time.)
Trivia: Yvonne DeCarlo, who played Lily Munster, was actually about 7 months older than Al Lewis who played Grandpa Munster who was supposed to be her father!
I used to watch the munsters just to see the cars. It was into rods not long after. Show was pretty good to.
good early sixties TV all. enjoy it for what it was!
Carolyn Jones in King Creole '58, no Hot Rods but plenty of Hoodlums.
I had forgotten that Frank Gorshin played the used car salesman in that episode,,he was also in a couple of old Hot Rod B movies,,Hot Rod Girl in 1956 and Dragstrip Girl in 1957
This is what he drove in Hot Rod Girl,.... Nice 34' Cabriolet !
I like the hiboy tub in the back ground.
Well I first looked at this thread and thought this is going to get deleted, but it got saved with some real H.A.M.B. material. Loved that old car on the Munsters.
from the vintage picture thread
I know it is a bit tacky, but I love the Munster Koach ...
... And I just found out it and the Drag-U-la have just been released in 1/8th scale die cast ... and my birthday is next month, the same day as Al Lewis' (Grandpa Munster ) !!!
Did you notice Frank Gorshin as the car salesman ?
Why does "spreader bar" come to mind?
