With the prices that Von Dutch stuff is bringing these days, I'm kinda glad that it doesn't appeal to me at all.

  4. The circus called said they are missing a ford (not Chevy correction) truck. And some clowns...(correction... I don't mean clowns as the people who like this truck. It was a saying to complement the circus remark) just saying.

This truck is probably a work in progress with a fairly recent paint job, it was taped with blue painters tape and it looks like a gravity feed paint gun with a white cup hanging on the wooden crate in the garage.

Blue masking tape first appeared in 1988 and I also had a white gravity feed cup about the same time.

I'd like to think this truck was a long-lost barn find, but that's not the case here. Instead, it is a (relatively) recent work by Denis Babin. He's pretty well known in the chopper world for creating some very authentic looking weathered paint. Here's a bit more about him. Note the truck in the gallery.

I Couldn't locate it in the gallery. I saw a 61-66 style, but did not see this one . was it a "finished" picture?

If the cool kids dont approve that means this thing is certifiably kool as f@$k, which it is. Take it from me, a self admitted hipster who knows a thing or two about doing the oppositte of whats cool until it starts being cool and then not doing it anymore because its kool. (Its a hipster thing.)

Id drive the hell out of that thing, slots and all. Not crazy about the tribal, but it all goes together. Weed and lacquer? You tell me I wasnt around for that era.

OT, but I almost bought an orange chevy stepside a year ago because it was orange with white panels, fades etc. Worn old custom paint on a really beat to hell truck. Glad I passed the paintjob drew me in.
