Do you have a picture of what they look like? A lot of the older Chev trim clips were t-bolts.

I dont have any pics... I wish I did, my truck came without them. Ive also started looking for 60 chevy manuals that have the trim and clip Info for 60 el camino, hopefully there will be good pics. I tried calling vtwheads lead (sounds promising!) but Bill no longer works there and Jeff wont be in till monday, Ill try back then. If anyone has pics, could you please post them! Thanks for all your help guys!

  13. I have a drawer chock full of old N.O.S. trim clips from the 40's, 50's and 60's but I'd need to know what they look like.

These are the best pics Ive been able to come up with so far, Ill keep working on finding better pics. The last pic is so you can see the shape of the holes for the clips.

some caddy clips will work also. i think there is a universal clip that you cut to size that would work. let us know what you use.

I made mine from sheet steel and studs, piece of cake and they cost almost nothing.

Drill a bunch of holes in sheet metal, weld a stud in them then put them in the holes, place the trim over the top, trace the steel where the trim fits and then cut them to fit.

Here is another place that you can check out.

The best thing to do is pull one of the clips that you have and compare it with what's available.

I used to cut and modify clips to make something that would work, because you can't always get the correct clip. Like Waddayacare, I have a stash of clips that I've collected over the years. I know that I don't have any 60 ElCamino specific clips though.

Dave Kosman of trim restoration had the clips!

  23. Ok, I just seen this post. I most likely have the clips (have/had 3 59-60 elcos). If you still need a picture I can see if I can find some. If the clips you found are not the ones you can pm me.
