Has any body used a 32, 2" shortened Ford Z type radiator with a stock 53 merc. flathead ? Will the water pumps push enough water through the three cores to cool the engine ?

I have a Walker Z radiator with a bored (3-3/8") 99A Merc block flathead. Stock rebuilt 40 Ford water pumps. It runs really cool. I think the trick is getting the engine water jackets clean. Mine were sandblasted out when it was rebuilt.

I used 3 inch chopped Z line radiator on my last FH deuce and had no flow problems. I also used a Cooling Components fan and it ran cool.

Have one as you describe in my avatar and never overheated over 7 years.

FYI: fee free to call Walker and share your concerns. Nice people to talk with and they will make you feel good about your choice.
