Are you sure about the horizontal watts link? Seems to me when the rear end goes up, both arms get shorter in effect. Can you take off the spring and double check it? If it works it would solve a lot of space problems.

  6. I've checked by bouncing and unloading the suspension the only part that limits it is the amount of the movement in the rod end if I used over centering washers it would move more. The amount of travel that I need it won't be an issue if your using this set up on something with a lot of travel this will limit it. Surprisingly the center pivot doesn't move much at the travel that this car will see.

O.K. It is cool if it works good just I have never seen a link used like that and I have been doing this a long time. Thanks for the reply. John

Very nice can't wait for paint!...really an inspiration for my dream- future build.....on the watts link I think what blows people's minds is the center pivot being horizontal , but all it does is allow the lateral rods gain and loose effective length......it doesn't matter what plane it's inand the rod ends having thier axis horizontal allows unencumbered vertical motion.......well done

  11. Thanks man I've done vertical watts links and have seen horizontal ones and thought this project deserved one thanks for the compliments!

The whole car is very nice, but the grille is especially so.

What a super little hot rod. That thing is going to be more fun than should be allowed. If if were mine I couldn't wait to get it out where you could get it sideways under power and raise some dust.

Well planned, notice you didn't have to go back and cut anything major...(or anything I saw)
Nose is cleverly pieced, cowl skin work surprised me at first. Gave good access to everything under, without having to re-hang sheet metal 4 times...
Is the grille surround and teeth stainless? (and did you tig them? Great work!)
