The "R-10" identifies only the O.D. unit on the back of the transmission. The transmission itself should have some other number which would tie it to an application. T-86 was used in '49 and up Fords and '51 and up Mercs until replaced by T-85 and R-11. Possibly same transmissions used in Studebakers, Kaisers, Hudsons.
