Wow. Kool. I hope that one comes out in scale soon. Since you did the dune buggy I have been buying all the model repops and started building them.

I will be looking forward to more updates on this one.

  15. well ya see james427 it goes like this, mr. moriarty has everything any gear head could possibly want or dream of and this is just a swift kick in the nuts from him to prove that. Because some of us "get it".

Appreciate the explanation. Still seems like a waste of energy to build something that can't be used or driven out of good parts. But hey, I guess it's a more money than sense kind of thing.

Ed Roth made quite a living out of doing just that....and how you "use" something is subject to debate.

    I love the Zinger!
Why bash a guy for doing what he wants!
It seems to me like a "Those that can, do...and those that cant, bitch" kind of thing!

Thank you for sharing all your cool stuff with us Mr. Moriarity. I appreciate it.

PS As for the guy that doesn't get it. Think of it as a big model kit.

Man that chick in the go-go boots is neat to look at. :)

I'd classify Roth as an artist. There are a few people here that appreciate Roth art. Then there are those who pretend to because they think it's cool to pretend to.

It's like a joke. It's funny when you hear it the first time. What's the point of telling it again? But to each his own I guess. Just my opinion and not meaning to offend anyone.

there arent really any good parts being used. the engine is hollow and was junk, the blowers and injector and all the drive parts are sand cast copies. and believe me I wont have much money in it when its all said and done. I just love old show cars and cloning this is an affordable way of having it.

  26. Moriarity doesn't need to justify anything to someone who would make this statement. It's just rude.

  28. I got a question for Mark not to hijack his thread. But, I just came across a few jars of murano pearl they are still soft but, not liquid can these be saved? What works the best to re-wet?

I always loved these things. Do they make any sense? No! But who freakin' cares? They're still cool. Just toys.

By the way, +2 on wanting to see the Moriarty collection some day.

thats a pretty good question. I had a couple of jars that I bought about 20 years ago where the liquid vehicle had seperated from the pearl and turned to almost a rubbery state. I removed it and tried to spray the pearl suspended in ppg dbc 500 blending clear. It did not work. the pearl was like it was glued together in big hunks, I tried to force it thru a strainer, I tried to "wash" it with laquer thinner. nothing worked. good luck, hope yours isnt as bad as mine was
