Voltage Regulators...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by SwitchbladeTeeth, Oct 7, 2003.

  1. Nads was acting kind today and gave me a 12v generator for my Buick today. Question is can I run the stock 6v regulator or does it really make a difference to switch to a different regulator?
    Thanks!

  2. go with a 12 v - the 6v will work but not for long- a 12v should only be about $15 anywhere

  3. yeah G-n-G i know they are cheap but then again so am I. [IMG]

  4. Go to the junkyard. Wear baggy pants. Put regulator in front of pants. Cost, the one dollar it takes to get in. I'm being serious.

Is it worth seeing the man for $15?

  6. Paul I agree 1 dollar is cheap but using my 6v reg till it dies is cheaper!

What about the cost of towing your car home when the battery dies after you burn up your 6v reg!!
