Ran up to Brainerd MN this morning and visited my pal Denny. He worked with the Alexander brothers back in the day and also worked with Jon Kosmoski in the sixties. Denny built a bitchin tribute car to his heroes of customizing. The car he started with was believe it or not a 56 Chevy. The car is called the predator and the workmanship is phenomenal.

Denny calls me the keeper of all things important. He gave me for display some lead files that were used by the A brothers and a car Craft top 10 plaque they won with the Victorian

It would be interesting to see some construction photos. The only '56 Chevy parts I can pick out are parts of the cowl and doors. Easy to call the deck lid and dash from a '59 Chev. I think the nose is Riviera and the end of the rear fenders might be '59 Caddy front eyebrows. I haven't figured the windshield out. Headlights are Imperial and the taillights are modified Ford. How did I do?

yeah, he didn't start with a whole 56 chevy. frame (shortened 12"), cowl and doors. If I remember right the rear fender tops are 58 chev. the windshield is a rear window from a 51 Merc

A truly re"mark"able creation, worthy of addition to your houseumarage, but that "thing" atop the engine...worse air cleaner ever! Perhaps it is the artist's tangible statement that a real custom lies in the design, modification, craftsmanship, lacquer and interior décor. Yes, yes that must be it.

The only thing I could identify as being a '56 Chev was one lug nut! Wow...

Reminds me of that custom from 1957 or so that had a T rad in the front...of a similar color...

Definately a surreal work of art that goes...

When did he start and finish this?

He finished it in 2014 and I think he spent 5 or so years building it.

All Steel ? Now that is some serious planning, engineering, metal manipulation, mind boggling skill, and what a presentation. Beautiful to be sure and talent for sure. (but does he have kitchen cabinets full of spark plug wires?)
