    I had a '78 P200E vespa.
    That thing would haul ass!!
I was trying to do a burnout in a patch of sand on the pavement once, but the next thing I know the damn thing hooks real good and shot out from under my dumb ass.
I sold it soon after that for $250:(
    I still regret that..

  2. Toad was riding a Vespa SS180 I believe....rare bike

  3. There is a fairly sizable club in Portland that cruises and rides these in runs all over the area. There is some young guy that is some guru mechanic down there too. I saw a bit on tv about them. He had what seemed like hundreds of old scooters.

I had a 64 Lambtretta 150 a few years back and wish I hadn't got rid of it.The gear change on the handlebars was slick.

  5. Here is my 66 Vespa "Betsy". I bought her about four years ago from the second ever owner with only 650 original miles on her. I sold her a few months ago to fund the hotrod. The guy that bought her called me about a week later to tell me she had been stolen from in front of his friends house. He asked if I had any old pics I could send him to give to the police. I sent him some pictures, and a couple months later I get an email from him telling me they caught the bastards and he got the scooter back with a little bit of damage but pretty much all intact. I have had it up over 55 mph a few times. Wish i never would have sold it!

I don't know much about Vespa's but i have one of the puch made Allstates from 62-65. it's stance is closer to a motor bike with the engine between your feet, but it definitely lacks the power to go highway speeds. steep hills are no problem though.[/quote]

I'm not sure what year it is, but I have an Allstate Puch that belong to my Dad. I rode it when I was around 14 until I blew the back tire and it has been parked for the last 17 plus years. It is on my to do list.:D

The last time I saw a Mustang, they were being used as rides on a child size merry-go-round at a carnival.

That's probably Patrick, he runs P-Town Scooters. Portland has an extremely active scooter scene.

For you Vespa Fans (Roy) the last time I was at Wal Mart they had a box of small die cast Vespas in the toy section. It was 4 or 5 small scale diecast vespas. Pretty neat especially if some one is collecting Vespa stuff.

Dad has a Cushman that I rode one time. Two Wheel death trap I tell ya. Foot clutch, jockey shift, no thank you. I am not a two wheel guy!

Ever seen the Vespa factory streamliner? Here it is in action in 1951. Dig that helmet!

It's fully restored now, and is on display in their museum.

look close and you might see something of interest in this pile ...it's up north by a bunch of other parts I'm trying to gather. My friend says it is a Montgomery Ward scooter ...who knows?

Surfing around online for Montgomery Ward scooters, Lambretta kept popping up. Are they one in the same?

Sears sold their version which was the Allstate. Those were stripped down Vespa's, and Puch's. Wards sold Lambrettas under their name of 'Riverside'....which by the looks of that parts pile, that's where those are. :D Sears also sold Cushmans under the Allstate name, not sure if Wards did also.
