Didn't say you were...you either Verde its just appreciation of the vintage years of Hotrod/Custom and Trophy Gals and winning with the trimmings was part of it so we celebrate it in this forum period...and it has fortunately been captured by many to share here and enjoy what we missed. We missed a lot......but after 1.2 million views we're starting to gain ground...

Looks in younger years...this is about Adults in the Hotrod/Custom/Race arena and I guess LV was involved no doubt near 20 something in 1959-60ish. We are looking at careers that spanned many years here. She's had a lifetime working career in the hobby much like many of the other gals. Good on them...

You gotta admit that the photographers of the day had those good looking women doing some weird shit so they could get "the" shot and it always amazes me what those women put up with!

 

The women were like starlets/goddesses of the auto culture...I'm pretty sure they were quite capable of keeping the boys in line. It was a form of modeling/posing, looking sexy and smiling was part of that territory.

The event coordinators were the ones who probably organized/planned what and how things unfolded.

I do agree it has a greasy, dirtyside, and no doubt the juices were flowing in every direction both hormonal and alcoholic.

One thing for certain the people who ran these events surely protected these ladies accordingly.

I'm not so sure the photographers should shoulder blame they were just average joes to professionals who thankfully captured the moments.

The stuff we are seeing are no doubt just random occurrences heck I never even seen buddies hand till Hamber Dodger pointed it out.

Linda Vaughn's book surely sheds light on this very subject.

I try to see the positve side of this story and for the most part thats all it was.
