It looks like you have the connecting cable too. That's the tricky part. What distributer does it fit? Is it for sale?

Hell, you don't need that crap! Just run solid core wires and non-resistor plugs, you wont even NEED a tach, just turn the radio on and shift by frequency!:D

Man, I have been looking for the "right" late sixties era electric tach for my '65 Falcon, that would be just the ticket!

A little off topic, but I'll mention it anyway. My partner and I are just finishing off the packaging of an electronic device that will allow cheap, negative ground 12 volt tachs to be used on 6 volt positive ground. This guy did a lot of consulting with a couple of the major tachometer companies several years ago, so I gotta believe he knows what he's doing. The other day I was discussing with him the situation with the scarcity of the sending units for old Sun and SW electronic tachs, and he seems to think that with what he's learned on this present project, replicating those old boxes won't be much of a problem.

Any interest in this out there?

Uh benno, I know I have known you long enough that this shouldn't surprise me, and I will probably be sorry I asked, but why is there a flamingo lurking under your desk??

I don't really collect tachs per se, I buy them for projects, and I don't have anything as cool as some of the weird old shit on this thread, but heres a few of mine. From right to left, early sixties Sun RC-70 for my '39 Convert (have the early screw post sender as well), sixties SW cable tach for my T-bucket, far left, Moroso cable tach for a "someday" FE powered '65 Falcon project. Someone was asking earlier about chromed moroso cable tachs, there you go.

I also have a '59 or '60 solid lifter Corvette mechanical tach for my T-tudor, and I'm sure theres some kind of cheaper late sixties off-brand (Probably Dixco or RAC?) electric 1/2 sweep pedestal tach stashed in a box somewhere that came with a big box of gauges from a swap meet about 20 years ago. I cant remember what it was, but I have been kind of looking for it lately, cant find it, but I know its here somewhere, I never sell anything.

This is an ebay pic, but now that I see this pic, I'm 99% sure its one of these. I gotta find it and see if it works, it would be just the ticket for my late sixties high school hot rod themed '65 Falcon.
