Here is the latest car I built, The Gerber Special. Its a copy of John Gerber's Whippet Special.
Running a hopped up Model T engine, with a SR Fronty OHV conversion, 2 plug per cyl head. About 10:1 compression, Stutz dual ignition.

This is the Dutch Culp Offy when Jim Ruth owned it,ran until 1976.
That's an Offy?
No this car started life as the Dutch Culp Offy in 1950 and is called that. In its long life it`s been powered by a 220 offy,flat head Ford,GMC six ,Mc dowell DOHC four and Chevy V8.It has been restored to it`s 1953 win at Bebford Pa. with Bill Holland.

On the Vintage Shots From Days Gone By thread - page 3572 - there is a series of photos that will probably be of interest to those who frequent this thread and I'm too technology challenged to to figure out how to transfer them over here.
One of the photos is an in the garage Indy car shot and I wondering if anyone can identify the people in the photo? The mechanic-type at the right rear looks like Dizz Wilson but I'm not sure who the guy on the left side of the car is.
Any thoughts anyone?
I posted those on that thread about a year ago, I guess they are recycling them now
If this is what you are referring to, I believe that is Marv Pifer on the right.
