In my pic of the #22, Billy Cassella is the driver. The helmet looks the same in the #39. Wonder if Cassella switched rides? My memory isn't near that good...

Greg Weld in the #6 Smith`s Speed Shop car.

    Willie Davis with the hardware.

I guess that is Gary B getting out of the car.

That Davis sprinter was hot stuff.

    Rootie:
Thanks for the info. The car in the speed manual is considerably different though. It is a rail frame design, cross spring front & rear with solid radius rods rather than hair pin wishbones. The front bumper appears to have the letter A or possibly H in it in the style of that time. The catalog cover car could possibly be an up dated version of the 1950 car. As soon as I figure out how to convert a tif to something that can be posted here I'll put the catalog image up here.

    Thanks,

    Chuck Schultz
    Winfield, Illinois

PS: Bzneil was kind enough to put a photo of the Edmunds coil car I'm restoring on the midget thread. It'll hit the track with the hood and side panels in the original 1980 paint.

Thats my father to Willie's right and this was the first photo I ever took, when I was 9 years old. Dad asked me to hold the camera and just playing around I hit the button, Dad was surprised when we got the negatives back and saw the shot, ....

Are you still taking pictures anymore?

You got a head start on me,I didn`t take my first racing photo until I was 18 in the Air Force in England.

Do any of you guys have the bearing numbers for a CAE In/Out box? Standard box, not a big bell or the midget box.

Okay.. ready for a laugh? :p

    (At least there trying!)

    This is NOT a joke,

As some of you know, I do a lot of T-shirt design work... this came across my desk this morning.

IZOD's new 2010 T-shirt line, due out in March of this year. (Who ever designed them, understood... and I'll probably end up with a couple, but it's just FUNNY AS HELL to see the model sporting them! )

ehh.. what the hell. There pretty cool. I'd like to have the #14 Fuel Injection Spl. one.

Also, to maintain authenticity, I think this car should be hand-lettered.

OK- good guess on Ron Rea- but that could be Gary Patterson- I know he drove Faas' car a few times. I'm pretty sure that's Lealand in the 27.

It`ll be the next big thing for kids who have no clue what racing is even about.

Like all that Von Dutch stuff or Hollister 1922. Something they wear because it is Trendy...
