    For several years the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad and the Houlton Pioneer Times sponsored model train races in cooperation with the Houlton Recreation Department.

    Divided into several classes, contestants raced their model engines for three laps of a 85 foot, double loop track, each pulling 2 Bangor and Aroostook Railroad blue, white and red model box cars.

    Buoy Boats on a trailer ready to be shipped to be used for the war effort.

    The Mt. Desert Yacht Yard built the boats.

  11. Yes 1928 Chev Had one as a 'C' cab delivery van for years. This one pictured has the radiator badge missing

    Talk to Bucksnort, he frequents the 'History Drag cars in motion' thread
    it involves uploading your pics to Photobucket, then resizing, then copy and pasting, I've done it a few times, easier to post the thumbnails, but the larger
    ones do look better.

    This picture is awesome. Its amazing how downtown Santa Rosa has changed since then. there is no more courthouse square since they tore the courthouse down. the Sons of Italy bank (to the right of BofA) was torn down to build a more modern building completely eliminating Exchange Ave. I wonder if they are standing in front of Arrigoni's Deli on 4th street?

    Must be Rutland, Vermont as that is where US 4 and 7 cross.
