chrisntx, THANKS for finding this one. I kept being drawn back
to it. I think it's ONE OF THE BEST GAS STATION SHOTS on this
whole thread! That's gotta be ol' Mr. Fox, of course. But WHERE
was this probably shot? And, can anybody approximately date
the photo from the pumps and the signage? Great shot!

You know, I thought to comment on this great shot a while back. My point was that old Mr Fox was likely born before the Civil War--"War Between The States"-- and look at the change he has seen in his life. From surgery without anesthetic to the automobile and airplane.

These pictures came from the photo album of my Aunt. She was born in 1897 and lived in Kansas City in 1927 when these pictures were taken. Charles Lindberg flew the Spirit of St Louis to Kansas City on Aug 17 1927 to dedicate the Municipal Airport.

  29. Maybe I can help;Going by the signage, pump and globe face design,I'm going to say mid 1920's. Possibly valid up into the 1930's if this were a rural shot. Atlantic was predominately an North-East Coast marketer,so it could be anywhere from Maine to possibly even Florida, and as far west as maybe Ohio...I've been away from this stuff for a while;I do have some books I'll check later-I'm wingin' it here as I type.

Way-cool shot;one I don't recall seeing before in any of my books.
