There still seem to be a lot of them out there based on what I found that were recent photos. Looking at enough of them, they still look better than a lot of the crap they build today.

Here is the Tommy Lee Speedster at a dry lake event sans fenders, and as restored. I think I read somewhere that it didn’t perform as expected.
Sadly Tommy jumped off a twelve story building in 1950.
