Yes, and the twenty something generation of today think the end of the world is here when they can't get a signal on their cell phones that seemed to be glued to their hands.
I think the guy's overalls are rather dirty but Could it be that the very black area is damage to the photo? It can't be oil, surely?
when I see photos like this it makes feel very blessed.

Yeah looks like photoshopped or someone used a black felt-tip marker on the pic
56 Plates were used up to 1962. A renewal sticker was issued each year so these plates were good all the way to 1963.
A 63 Riviera I once owned got the same type 56 plates since it was sold new late in 1962.
