    The first photo (circa 1949) shows George Salih and Louis Meyer with their supercharged midget engine in a Kurtis Championship car chassis that later became the Belanger Special.

    The next photo shows and interesting engine in a midget that I can't identify?

    And the last one shows Tony Bettenhausen in the rear drive Novi at Indianapolis in 1957; probably on a qualifying day since the cars are parked diagonally. The Qualifying line at the far south end of the (then) new pits took up a lot of room so cars were pitted sideways to make room for everyone wanting to go out for the morning Practice session.

    I remember that car.
    George Speck won races at Williams Grove and Reading PA in it.
