Standard or Deluxe? If you remember.

  13. It was a standard business coupe, built in Canada, with the serial number 007 stamped on the frame. The only reason I sold it, was that I purchased a 34 Ford 1/2 ton, that I was chopping, channelling, and installing a 53 Olds engine, tranny, and rear end.
I had limited resources, and could not afford to keep it. I have no pictures of the car, and only have 2 of my truck, taken by a friend. I wish I would have thought of taking some pictures of my projects back then.
Here is a picture of the truck with the engine and running gear installed. I have the box on, to get an idea of how long I wanted it, to match the lines of the truck. I chopped it 4" and channelled it 6". The dropped axle was 4", and the transverse spring and split wish bones were installed on the rear end. I did all the work myself.
The truck was stolen and stripped I guess. It was never recovered.

The great thing about Pre WWII INDY cars is there ability to survive all the modifications over their racing lifetime,15 years at INDY was common for many cars. Check out these photos, SAME car as the one in the earlier post. Page 149 of "The MILLER Dynasty" by Mark Dees. Bob DSCF0676.JPG
