    Mack Sennett short, 'Skylarking'. 1923.
Little trivia, 'Teddy the Dog', not seen in this shot but his dog house in the frame, was one of Sennett's highest paid actors. The mutt was a superstar.

  22. These are from a recent addition to the Mojave Air and Space Port Archive. They were taken on Edwards AFB. Looks like there was a Model A club on base at one time and its members had enough pull to set up a neat event. Not happening in this day and age. IMG_0936.JPG IMG_0939.JPG IMG_0940.JPG

  23. No clue if anyone in these is Chuck Yeager, but it looks like the squadron Model A may have still been a thing at the time of this deal. IMG_0946.JPG IMG_0947.JPG IMG_0947.JPG IMG_0945.JPG

  24. F-104 in the picture. Google the history of the airplane and, particularly, the sale of a bunch of them to Germany.

At the time his autobiography came out, wasn't the Model A that he owned still on base? It had been passed down from airman to airman for years. Cool story, great book. Been a while since I read it though.

  27. No clue on His Model A's location at that time. It's probably long gone now.
They just broke ground on a new Museum outside of the Edwards main gate, where the general public will be able to enjoy. Yeagers Model A or a replica of it would be a really cool thing to have there. It'll probably never happen though.
