1929 Chevrolet or Holden.
Note the 'T' number plate. That car is a taxi.
Not Holden - obviously as they only built cars from 1948. That is a GMNZ advertising photo - I think.
1929 was the last year for Graham-Paige - From 1930 they were just Graham.
That would be Rhodes Runner.
A pair of "POKERS".
Yeah, I know its not safe, but we are on a tight budget!!!
Dive Crescent, Tauranga. NZ in the 1950's [I was driving down this road approx. 1 hour ago]
Haha! I've seen a lot worse over the years.
The irony of that photo is: Unless those building blocks were laying around, it wouldn't be worth carting them 100 miles to the track
Back to the camera, appears to be Parnelli Jones, talking to a very young Sam Posey, and Lothar Motschenbacher on the right
I'm wondering what the drivers legs looked like. Not good I'd bet,
The first Burns Brothers on Union Ave, Portland, OR
I'm loving all the Pittsburgh Trolleys!! Used to ride them when I was young in the early to mid-50's. A friend and I used to hitchhike one coming out of Bellvue heading to our street. Only a couple blocks, but the operator would stop and pick us up and let us sit on the step for the block or two. Can you imagine that happening now??
