Correct.Circa early 50's. We had them in Australia also and my father bought one new in 1951.

Almost lost this one....the picture...was just out burning trash and this was in the barrel grabbed it was going.to light it and I opened it up and noticed what it was ...so I put it back in the save pile.....till next time I reorganize things....
