Now there is a stupid mall and High density, high rise apartments buildings all over where Riverside race way was.
I got to drive around what was left of the old race track in a Work Truck , when they were excavating and plowing everything down to put in a huge Mall . Calif sucks

It could be the super duper ultra deluxe only available in NZ [never let the truth get in the way of a good story:D]
It was an early customising job [tastefully done] looks like it's using an English Ford windshield

    Plagiarised elsewhere for you.
1938 Chevrolet Coupe – The coupe was one of several Grant’s late father, Ron Silvester, owned and raced in the sixty’s. This car was built by a very good friend and work mate of his, named Jim Walker. Jim was such a meticulous engineer and would hand make anything needed for the car and as with all passions working 24 stints to build the car up after an insidence was ‘fun’ for Jim. Sadly both have passed away or the stories could be on going for ever. The Coupe was badly damaged in a race at Ruapuna where Ron got his jandals [flip-flops] stuck under the pedals. This caused a panic in the time to get the damaged car ready for a race that was to be two weeks from the time of the crash, so whilst Ron was getting repaired in hospital with a damaged shoulder etc Jim was building the car to race again. The Coupe had some great wins over that period . The car is all steel and original 1938 solid beam front suspension with a 1955 Chevy diff with 3.72 ratio Detroit locker unit, Muncie 4 speed rockcrusher box with Tilton triple plate clutch unit, Chev 327ci engine that has been bored and stroke in the ’60’s to 370ci. The main feature being the original 6 x 2 barrel ’97’ Stromberg carbs that feed the engine.

Here's a real early shot before it was cut up and modded

Not in NZ back then [we needed an "impossible to get" import license]
A common way was to get a windshield and portion of the roof and cowl [the whole frame] and graft it to another vehicle.
That windshield looks very similar to an English Ford Mk1 Zephyr or Ford 100E Anglia

That windshield has a constant curve in it, which would require altering the frame from a V windshield

I'll be honest, I was not aware of the scope of the racing scene in both Aus. and NZ in the 60's. My eyes really were opened when I first spied early photos of Norm Beechy and his 62 Impala four door, and as I'm a bit of a Gen II Nova nerd his 66 really caught my attention.
Keep all the cool racing stuff coming from your side of the big water Kerry.

Fort Borst Park, Centralia, WA. Around 1946. I never knew about the track there, only the dirt oval at the nearby SW Washington State Fairgrounds, twenty or so years later.
