    Rootie, I'm not recognizing this car or driver although the car looks somewhat like one of Henry Meyer's stretched big cars. Could this be one of the Iddings entries?

    You're right it is the Iddings car with Johnny McDowell up, 1949. It was renumbered 32 for the race.

    I believe it's the Hart Fullerton car, not sure of where or when the first picture was taken.

    Rootie, IndyRJC, the only #79 in the time period I can find is a Mel Wiggers Kurtis 4000, 1953.

    Sad, prob. a 51 bus. coupe deluxe. I've had one since 62. The chrome trim on the side puzzels me.
